Union of Religious Superiors of Women in the Holy Land 
(Union des Supérieures religieuses de Terre Sainte – U.S.R.T.S.)

 

 The purpose of the Union of Religious Superiors of Women in the Holy Land, whose statutes were approved by the Holy See on September 18, 1993 and finally approved on 22 october 2003, is to:

- Attend to the problems common to the various institutes of women present on
   the territory.

- Develop fraternal contacts between these institutes in a spirit of mutual
   collaboration.

- Foster collaboration between religious women and the hierarchy in the Church’s
   pastoral activity.

- Facilitate contacts between the religious institutes of women and various
   authorities. 

   Directed by a General President, the Union is divided into four regions, each 
   one headed by a Regional President.
